Former owner of Cool Springs and Donelson Eyecare has now retired. He drives growth and development at the largest Primary Eye Care practice in Middle Tennessee that offers Myopia Management, Cataract Surgery, Dry Eye Clinic, and Laser Services.
Former Regional Director for Keplr Vision. Overseeing 28 practices in the Central Region at Keplr; continues as a consultant for this company, building teams and implementing strategies that improve P & L inefficiencies for underperforming clinics.

Laura Anthony is the Practice Manager at Blount County Eye Center. After graduating from Alcoa High School in 2000, Laura entered the workforce and gained invaluable experience through various roles, shaping her into a seasoned professional in healthcare management.
Laura excels in process improvement implementation, revenue production and alignment, staff recruitment and retention, and retail sales management. Her leadership has consistently driven 12-15% year-over-year revenue growth, showcasing her ability to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
Throughout her career, Laura has held notable roles in HR/Recruitment, Retail Sales Management, Quality Healthcare, Physician Education, and Optometric Clinic and Optical Sales Management. Her diverse experience underscores her versatility and commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services.
Laura has a unique ability to surround herself with diverse managers who complement her communication and management style, creating a well-rounded management team capable of adapting to all types of employees. She is professionally passionate about making businesses come alive, seeing them reach their full revenue potential and beyond.
Outside of her professional life, Laura is passionate about college football, cheering for her favorite team, The University of Pittsburgh, and supporting the TN Vols baseball team. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Lavelle, and their 12-year-old son, Myles.

Dr. Do Nguyen is a native Memphian. He has worked in advancing roles at a private practice in East Memphis since 2012 and has also served as a Consulting Clinical Educator at The Eye Center from 2019-2022.
Dr. Nguyen has held leadership positions at local and state levels for the Optometric Physician Society. He has served on the Board of a local co-management center and on the Advisory Boards of several Industry Partners. The Memphis Chamber voted him as a Top 10 Young Memphian in 2014 for his leadership and work in the community. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians, and West TN Optometric Physician Society. He is currently an Associate Professor at Southern College of Optometry and precepts 3rd and 4th year students in clinic.

Dr. Scott Edmonds
Dr. Scott Edmonds is the senior partner of Edmonds Eye Associates in Philadelphia and a member of the medical staff at Jefferson/Magee/Moss Rehabilitation Hospital. He is the Emeritus Co-Director of the Low Vision, Contact Lens and Brain Injury Rehabilitation Service at Wills Eye Hospital. He is the former Chief Eyecare Officer at United Healthcare. He is a clinical professor at Western University of Health Sciences- College of Optometry, a member of the adjunct faculty of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus/Drexel University and a member of the Allied Medical staff of the Lankenau Hospital. He has written and lectured extensively on clinical and public health topics.
A 1976 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a1980 graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Dr. Edmonds is a past President of the Philadelphia Optometric Society, the Chester Delaware Optometric Society and the 1988 President of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association. On the national level, he has served as the Chairman of a number of committees for the American Optometric Association and has completed two terms on the American Council on Optometric Education.
Dr. Edmonds was honored by the Pennsylvania College of Optometry as the Preceptor of the Year in 1983. He was honored as the Optometrist of the Year in 1985 by the Philadelphia Optometric Society and again in 2008 by the Chester-Delaware Optometric Society. He was the honored as the Pennsylvania Optometric Association Optometrist of the Year in 2008. He was 2015 APEX Award winner for Publication Excellence in the category of Social Media Blog Content and the 2016 winner of the Dr. Jerry P. Davidoff Memorial Award for Leadership Service.
